The Aviators have traded a struggling Dan Girardi who has no points and is a minus 10 in 13 games and their second round pick in next year's (Y4) draft to the Worgs in exchange for veteran and key faceoff man in Manny Malhotra and a solid young dman in Jonas Junland.

Aviators are on a season high losing streak of 3 straight games. Are the Aviators crashing midway through the season? What is the cause? Was it the re-naming of the designate captain (from Saku Koivu to Toews)? Or was it last weeks trade with Worgs that sent Samuelsson packing for a 4th round prospect pick?
