Amid controversy, Nokians found their scoring touch and managed to eek out a win vs the #1 Tigers.  The Tigers did manage to put a scare with two late 3rd period goals but the deficit was too big to overcome.

Hiller claimed by Nokians! Lundqvist on the way out?

While out on a trip scouting out talent in France (nada btw), Nokians GM got wind of some interesting waiver activity today and laid claim to Jonas Hiller!  With this interesting turn of events, the Nokians now possess two number goalies in Lundqvist and Hiller and the situation is critical.  Lundqvist had "No comment" when reached while Hiller twittered "I'm happy I'm wanted".  Nokians GM was found still trying to figure out what larvae looking thing he was eating for lunch (apparently seafood/some kind of shrimp but hell it looked like huge pi

Callahan on the move?

Rumours out of Helsinki has the Nokians GM fielding offers for Ryan Callahan.  Nokians has a crunch on right wing due to the not so well thought out acquisition of Mikael Sammuelsson and would probably like to balance out the line up with a left winger.  The whole right side would be open to offers...

Leadership from the Defence Out

The Nokians have announced that Willie Mitchell will be their captain for the 2010/11 season taking over from the departed Henrik Sedin.  Even though surrounded by rumours of being traded, Mitchell has insisted it's not a distraction and will not interfere with his abilities of being an effective captain.
